Mouse Mod Pattern

You will need to have PlanetJune's Woodland Creatures Pattern handy when making the mouse, as the head/body and limbs are part of the pattern. (I can't recommend June's stuff enough! The patterns are very low-priced for such high-quality items!) Feel free to ask questions and make suggestions!

  • Crochet hook (G)
  • Yarn (As always, worsted weight yarn, like Red Heart)
  • Yarn Needle
  • Eyes (I used 6mm here)

  • sc=single crochet
  • dc=double crochet
  • hdc=half-double crochet
  • inc=increase (sc 2 in same st)
  • dec=decrease (sc 2 together)
  • sl st=slip stitch
  • ch=chain
  • st=stitch
Pattern is worked in the round, except for the tail and ears. The mouse turns out about 3 1/2 inches tall.

Follow the Woodland Creatures pattern for the head and body and set aside.
Stuffing note: I recommend weighting the bottom of the body just a little bit, to help it stay it on it's feet.

EARS (Make 2)
R1: Ch 2, 5sc in 2nd ch from hook. (5 st)
R2: Inc around. (10 st)
R3: *Sc 1, inc, rep from * around. (15 st)
Sl st to next st and fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Follow the Woodland Creatures pattern for the limbs.

Ch 8.
Sl st back along starting in 2nd ch from hook. (7 st)
FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Sew the limbs on according to original pattern.
Position the ears on the top of the head and to the side (see pictures) and sew on.
Sew the tail on to the bottom of the body.
Congrats! You've just made your own warrior mouse. :)
